Mary Olayinka Olaoye graduated from the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin with an ND and HND in Computer Science in 1997 and 2006, respectively. She had her PGD and MSc in Computer Science from the Department of Computer Science, University of Ilorin, Ilorin in 2011 and 2023 respectively. In May 2007 she joined the service of the University of Ilorin as a Higher Technical Officer and is currently a Principal Technologist in the Department of Computer Science.

As a Principal Academic Technologist, she is in charge of a Computer Science Laboratory for practical training of undergraduate and postgraduate students. This training includes Database Management, Internet Technology, and programming languages (Java, C++, and HCML using Notepad) practical. She is responsible to the Head of the Department in giving necessary administrative directions and guidance to other technologists, technicians, and others.
