Biography

Dr. (Mrs.) Abimbola Ganiyat Akintola is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She holds a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from Bowen University Iwo, Osun State (2007), an M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Ilorin (2011), and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science (2017). She joined the university as an Assistant Lecturer in 2012 and has received recognition for her teaching, including the Best Teaching Staff award in 2014. Her research interests include Information Security, Biometrics, Human-Computer Interaction, and Data Mining. Abimbola is a member of professional bodies such as the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), IEEE Computer Society, Science Association of Nigeria (SAN), and Nigeria Women in Information Technology Society (NIWIT). She has served in various administrative roles within the university and has published extensively in both local and international journals.
